Studio West Photography, founded by Karl Hugh in 1992, is a full service studio offering everything from premier bridal portraits to commercial photography. Karl Hugh is a Cedar City native who graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Photography from Brigham Young University in 1991.

Karl and his wife, Christy, moved back to Cedar City in 1992 and now have four children. Christy often helps Karl when he shoots family pictures and has a knack for getting the most stubborn of children to smile. Karl has also been the photographer for the acclaimed Utah Shakespearean Festival since 1997.

In his free time, Karl enjoys hiking and often shoots pictures of Southern Utah’s majestic beauties. In fact, Karl enjoys shooting outdoors so much that he has his own outdoor studio complete with a variety of settings and props.
